How To Thaw Refried Beans Over The Stove

Here’s another short way to thaw frozen refried beans. The total time to defrost depends on the volume of refried beans.

Run the container(s) or freezer bag(s) under warm/hot water to loosen the refried beans.
Pour the beans into a pot and place it on low-medium heat on the stove.
Add a little water to the pot (a tablespoon or two should be fine.)
Heat until the refried beans have defrosted. Stir occasionally.
If the beans are too dry for you, stir in a bit of olive oil or water for moisture.
